Becoming a leader and make a difference in our world is my one true goal.

I think every person here can agree with me when I say that at one point when we were young and times where different, we dreamed of becoming something different than what we are now. Some wanted to be a princess and others wanted to be a cop. In the other hand I wanted to be a singer. Not so long ago I was almost sure I would be, because I actually tried hard to achieve it, but times changed and so did my priorities.

At the moment I dedicate most of my time studying in order to graduate from college with a bachelor degree on International studies. classes are though for the most part, but if I organize my time properly, study hard and do things in order, my goal will become easy to achieve.

My parents and my boyfriend are the people to whom I look up to. First my parents because they both had a hard life affording a college education and to get decent jobs. Now they are very successful people, which makes me feel proud and makes them my heroes. Then my boyfriend because he is very young and he is already going for his second major, he is smart and a hard worker, which I admire.

Talking about success, motivation and goals, doesn't it make you think about yourself in the future? It makes me wonder where will I be in five years. Honestly speaking I can’t tell. Probably graduated with a masters degree, already with a descent job or even engaged. Things not impossible to achieve as long as you live an organized life and you give all of you; but people change, time goes by so what I want today, I might not want it tomorrow. what I'm certain that won’t change, is what I like the most and those are the things that I can do for free and for fun. For instance volunteer work. Since I was a kid I have been involved in community service like the Lions Club. I remember going on holidays to visit orphanages and spent time with the kids. My favorite volunteer activity was one that I did on my senior year of high school. The activity consisted in going to a poor area in Honduras, Tegucigalpa with a couple of my classmates and give classes to the poor kids that were able to meet with us. I did the same thing every weekend for over a year. I fell in love with the kids and their families who put a lot of effort in bringing their children to us. It was an unforgettable and enjoyable experience, It helped me grow as a person and helped me appreciate the opportunities that I have had on the way.
